He stars in \u201c120 beats per minute\u201d directed by Robin Campillo and Grand Prix at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival. In parallel to his acting career, Simon Gu\u00e9lat writes and directs his first short film \u201cCabane\u201d in 2016, selected notably at the Locarno and Clermont-Ferrand Film Festivals. The following year, he follows a short training course in documentary filmmaking at the Ateliers Varan and directs the short film \u201cChahine\u201d which gets selected at the Visions du R\u00e9el festival in Nyon. Simon Gu\u00e9lat currently lives in Paris and is working on his first feature film.
