Qui sommes nous ?

Since 2004, Box Productions has been producing and co-producing feature films, documentaries and shorts that have found their way onto the Swiss and international markets.

Box Productions first produced Jean-Stéphane Bron’s MON FRÈRE SE MARIE (Piazza Grande, Locarno 2006) and Ursula Meier’s HOME (Semaine de la Critique, Cannes 2008). Attentive to emerging cinema, Box Productions has since produced numerous short films and features by young Swiss filmmakers and is also involved in several international co-productions, including Miguel Gomes’ ARABIAN NIGHTS (2015), Mehran Tamadon’s IRANIAN (2014) and Joachim Lafosse’s À PERDRE LA RAISON (2014).

Among Box’ latest productions, Delphine Lehericey’s LAST DANCE (co-production with Need Productions, Belgium) won the Audience Award at Locarno Film Festival 2022, BEYOND THE HORIZON also by Delphine Lehericey (co-production with Entre Chien et Loup, Belgium) had its world premiere in San Sebastian in 2019; and Antoine Russbach’s THOSE WHO WORK was presented in 2018 at the Locarno Festival and received the Audience Award at the Festival Premiers Plans d’Angers. The film became then an international success, with great public and critical success when released in French theatres. Both BEYOND THE HORIZON and THOSE WHO WORK won the Swiss Film Awards in the category Best Film and Best Screenplay.

Of the thirteen feature films Box Productions has produced, eleven had their world premiere at an A Festival (Cannes, Locarno, Berlinale, Toronto).

Box Productions is currently developing numerous projects (features, documentaries, shorts and drama series), and is pursuing its vocation of supporting Swiss and international filmmakers driven by a strong and original approach to cinema.
